West African Internship–Ghana

Announcing the 2024 West African Internship on Community Health Evangelism

This community transformation training covers topics that include:

• How to build relationships in entertaining communities
• Sustainable use of available resources
• Responding to trauma and abuse in the community’
• Added value to agricultural products and improved farming practices
• Business planning and management
• Reporting and photography techniques and many other topics to be covered

The program starts daily with a field tour to model programs. A tour of Ghana is also available to interested participants at the conclusion of the training.

Pre-requisite:  The participant must have completed a CHE TOT 1 .  There will be an online TOT 1 available prior to the internship on February 26th through March 1st.

Dates:  March 4-25, 2024, 21 days of learning

Venue:  African Internship Center, Aveyime, North Tongue district of Ghana.

Languages:  English and French

Cost:  $800 per participant.  There is a 30% discount for those who work in West Africa.  There are limited scholarships available for those who are active CHE implementers in their countries and with evidence of inability to be funded.

• Is there Wi-Fi?  YES
• Is there air conditioning?  Air conditioning is available, but you will need to pay for a room to yourself or stay in a nearby hotel which has air conditioning.
• Are there showers on the campus?  YES
• I tried looking for the Africa Internship Center on Google, but could not find pictures….    Sorry, we do not have photos, but can send on request.  The training ground is modest. Remember, we train missionaries going to serve in rural places. So we make participants have a feel of what it looks like.  We are located in a remote area.
